The Hollywoodbets Super League kicked off the sixth edition of the competition on Saturday, March 3 and women's football enthusiasts were treated with a lineup of thrilling fixtures scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Among the teams, Fort Hare University and Lindelani Ladies stepped into the limelight as newcomers, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the league.

The weekend witnessed Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies dominant with a 4-0 victory, showcasing the team's intent in both attack and defense. Additionally, the highest-scoring match was between First Touch Ladies and University of Johannessurg in Polokwane with a thrilling 4-1 scoreline, providing fans with plenty of excitement and drama.

Defensive Mastery:

Clean Sheets: 4

Only four teams showcased defensive resilience, recording clean sheets to start the season on a strong note. TS Galaxy Queens, Durban Ladies, Lindelani Ladies, and Mmamelodi Sundowns Ladies left their opponents unable to find the back of the net.
