Four women, one road trip: How Pure-Travel turned the Carling Black Label Cup into an adventure

Pure-Travel, the specialist sports and youth travel division of Tourvest Destination Management, showcased its commitment to world-class, athlete-focused travel by hosting four South African women athletes on an exclusive road trip experience to the Carling Black Label Cup final in Polokwane.

Libbie Janse van Rensburg

The curated journey included Bulls Daisies rugby players Vainah Ubisi, Libbie Janse van Rensburg, Chumisa Qawe, and Egoli Magic basketball star Lufuno Mutungutungu. For all four athletes, this marked their first-ever live football stadium experience — an opportunity made seamless and memorable through Pure-Travel’s meticulous design and premium travel support.

Backed by 35 years of industry expertise, Pure-Travel specialises in delivering major sports event itineraries, athlete travel solutions, and youth programme logistics, all supported by Tourvest’s leading travel infrastructure.

A PREMIUM ROAD EXPERIENCE FOR ATHLETES

Travelling in comfort in branded GAC Motor vehicles, the athletes enjoyed a professional and seamless journey powered by Pure-Travel’s partner ecosystem, including Vida e Caffé for road snacks and Switch Energy Drink for on-the-go energy.

Daisies and Springbok Women fly-half Libbie Janse van Rensburg commended the experience, saying:

“The experience was crazy, I really enjoyed it,” said Springbok Women fly-half Libbie Janse van Rensburg. “It was something completely out of my comfort zone, it was the first time for me at such a big soccer event and it’s amazing to see the support that these teams have. It’s something that we need more of in women’s sports.”

Lufuno Mutungutungu

Basketball standout Lufuno Mutungutungu added:

“You could tell instantly that Pure-Travel understands athlete needs. The comfort, the timing, the organisation — everything was handled professionally.”

A FIRST-TIME FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE

“It was a phenomenal experience especially because I always watch football indoors and this time I was watching it live,” said Chumisa Qawe, still buzzing after the final whistle. “The crowd singing and chanting was a great vibe. The singing of iGwijo and hearing vuvuzelas was the part I enjoyed and how the fans were embracing each other”

Her teammate Vainah Ubisi echoed the sentiment: “The atmosphere was so cool and the stadium was so full. I was enjoying the football vibes, actually.”

“Pure-Travel didn’t just take us to a match,” said Ubisi. “They gave us an experience that broadened our sporting world.”
